Destination 1: Nepal

Amankora

Kathmandu, Nepal 

Standing at the “Roof of the World,” Nepal is best known for being home to eight of the world’s ten highest mountains, including the incomparable Mount Everest. Surrounded by China, India and Bhutan, the stunningly beautiful Himalayan country, has some of the most picturesque mountain scenery. Discover the extraordinary and unique views of the world's highest mountain with a helicopter ride to Mount Everest, where guests have the possibility of walking around Everest Base Camp, the official starting point of treks to the summit, completing the journey with a champagne breakfast. 

Destination 2: Bhutan

Amankora, Thimphu and Paro 

Amankora is a series of five lodges across the central and western valleys of Bhutan, one of the most remote and pristine environments on Earth. The first two nights will be spent in Amankora Thimphu, situated in blue pine forests close to the capital’s sights and shopping. Nights three and four will be spent in Amankora Paro, close to some of Bhutan’s most treasured historical monuments including the Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Privately guided expeditions will take in Thimphu’s Pangri Zampa Lakhang, where monks study astrology, the National Library and the National Textile Museum, as well as Paro’s beautiful Dzong and ancient Kyichu Lkakhang temple. Guests will also experience a blessing ceremony with Rinpoche.

Destination 3: India

A verdant oasis lying within a walled compound, Amanbagh was once the staging area for the Maharajah of Alwar’s hunting expeditions. Close to picturesque rural villages and historic sites such as the ruined city of Bhangarh, the resort evokes the palatial elegance of the Mughal era and provides a tranquil base from which to explore the rich heritage of Rajasthan. 

 

After experiencing the sights and sounds of Jaipur, India’s fabled pink city, leave the Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort behind as you travel into the countryside towards Amanbagh. In the historic port of Galle, Amangalla rests within the ramparts of Galle Fort, revealing the Unesco World Heritage Sites’s daily activities from its gracious verandah. Behind the hotel’s regal façade lies a 200-year-old garden and a serene swimming pool. Dine on exquisite Sri Lankan and international fare in the chandelier-lit Zaal (Great Hall), beside the pool or on the verandah itself.

A complimentary 90-minute treatment in the Amangalla spa, The Baths, will prepare you for a full day of exporation. Stroll from Amangalla along the Fort’s winding streets lined with buildings from the Dutch and British colonial areas, browse the multitude of boutiques and jewellery stores, and watch as locals fly kite from the ramparts at sunset.

Destination 5: Sri Lanka

A scenic two-hour drive from Amangalla heading east along Sri Lanka’s south coast, Amanwella is situated in a mature coconut grove on an idyllic crescent-shaped beach. Offering all the balm of sun, sea and sand, the resort is a contemporary beach retreat inspired by Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, and is the perfect destination in which to wind down this remarkable journey.
