Natural bounty

Reflecting the seasons and Central Java’s cornucopia of fresh produce, the Restaurant’s menu is a deep dive into the region’s rich culinary heritage while also offering international flavours. Savour dragon fruit carpaccio and freshly-bake pastries for breakfast, a delicious Nasi Liwet for lunch, then feast on Gulai Kambing – lamb with cinnamon, cardamom and coconut milk – for dinner. Every day brings new flavours as the choices are endless.

Rotunda afternoons

Most afternoons, traditional Javanese music drifts from Amanjiwo’s rotunda as local dancers and musicians provide entertainment for those enjoying afternoon tea. Served daily on a complimentary basis, this convivial dining moment sees local producers bringing their homemade Javanese cakes and delicacies to be enjoyed with Ceylon tea, coffee, or local Jamu ginger tea.

Soulful dining

In such a soulful destination, it is only right that dining can be as conscious and considered as you desire. Amanjiwo’s menu is full of soulful options, offering a multitude of healthy choices for those with specific or general wellness goals. Dishes can be tailored to suit individual preferences and eating requirements, and menus for private dining are personalised according to your tastes.

Cocktails overlooking Borobudur

Inspired by Indonesian culture, flavours and aromas, the Bar’s cocktail menu features original and classic creations crafted from local ingredients and premium spirits. Lemongrass, nutmeg and galangal all feature, as well as citrus leaves. Don’t miss the Lavender Martini and the Jiwo Mule made with homebrewed ginger beer.
